Abstract
In the clinical practice of a cardiologist and cardiac surgeon, there are cases of non-operated congenital heart defects
(CHD) in adult patients. As a rule, such defects have a low-symptom course at young age and are characterized by
arterio-venous blood shunt; clinical manifestations of the defect appear in adulthood. One of these CHDs is partial anomalous pulmonary venous connection. This paper presents a case of successful correction of partial anomalous
right pulmonary venous return into the superior vena cava in combination with atrial septal defect in a patient aged
71 years.
