Abstract
Introduction. The state of health of young Russians is still alarming due to the negative dynamics of the spread of lifestyle-related diseases among young people, namely: obesity, diabetes mellitus, eating disorders, drug and alcohol addiction. At the same time, studies on the attitude of young people to their health indicate the priority value of health in the structure of their orientations. In this regard, there is a need to identify the causes of existing contradictions, manifested in the ambivalent attitude and behavior of young people to their health. In addition, cardiovascular diseases are one of the main causes of premature death. And more and more often the problem of cardiovascular diseases occurs in young people of student age. In this regard, it is necessary to establish the relationship of the identified risk factors with the violation of the rest and nutrition regime, the rapid rhythm of life in young people and related factors of cardiovascular diseases.
Purpose of the study: to identify the most characteristic patterns of a healthy lifestyle and the peculiarities of their formation in the student environment based on the study of ideas about health and practices of care for it among students, to develop and propose ways to reduce the risk of developing cardiovascular pathology in young people.
Materials and methods. 256 students of Russian higher education institutions took part in the study, while most of the respondents (61%) were Moscow students. Methods: survey, comparative and correlation analysis (Pearson correlation coefficient).
Results. It was found that the majority of respondents perceive a healthy lifestyle through the absence of bad habits (23%), physical education (29%) and sports (8%), which are also the most typical health care practices among the respondents, along with this, despite awareness of the value of health and adherence to healthy habits through physical activity, nevertheless, among the surveyed audience, there is a predominance of destructive practices, such as smoking, alcohol consumption, unhealthy eating behavior.
Conclusion. The results obtained indicate limited ideas about health and a healthy lifestyle among students, based on the perception through the image of physical physicality and the practice of body care, which has an ambivalent effect on their health. The conducted research shows that in the conditions of a comprehensive mediatization of society, it is necessary to develop, implement and educate a national ideology of health saving, which means a system of scientifically sound and proven attitudes, backed up by effective practices that allow preserving and strengthening the health of the younger generation.
