Abstract
Endovascular treatment of carotid arteries is most commonly being used in the treatment of patients with severe atherosclerotic lesions of the carotid arteries. A group of patients with a combined multivessel lesion of the coronary arteries and a significant lesion of the carotid arteries, due to the high intra- and postoperative risk of complications during carotid endatherectomy, requires the selection of special treatment tactics. In addition, performing a staged endovascular correction of carotid artery stenosis before coronary intervention is associated with a some of conditions. This scientific review of the available modern literature analyzes the short- and medium-term results of the advantages of simultaneous endovascular treatment of atherosclerotic lesions of the internal carotid artery and coronary artery bypass grafting, in comparison with alternative methods of surgical treatment.
