Abstract
The activity of the Institute for coronary and vascular surgery of Bakoulev NMRC for CVS was aimed primarily at fulfilling the state assignment for high-tech medical care, clinical testing and compulsory health insurance program. The article presents the results of the Institute’s activity in 2023 in comparison with 2022 and 2021.The state assignment is 100% completed.
The number of patients admitted to the hospital was 7065 people, more than 4.1 thousand operations were performed. The hospital mortality rate was 0.7%, and mortality after operations with cardiopulmonary bypass was 4.2%. The work was continued to improve the efficiency of the bed fund, as a result of which the average duration of hospitalization was reduced to 6.0 days. The number of surgical interventions was the highest in the last 3 years. The amount of endovascular operations significantly increased. The fleet of medical equipment has been significantly updated. A distinct trend to the decline of the load on paraclinical departments was kept due to the increase of insistence to justification of medical investigations.
