Abstract
During the reporting year 2023, the department performed 3,410 procedures on 2,104 patients: 1,306 diagnostic and 2,104 therapeutic procedures (1,894 operations (implantation of antiarrhythmic devices, cryo- and/or radiofrequency ablations for various cardiac arrhythmias) and 210 therapeutic procedures (implantation of a temporary electrode, electric pulse therapy, etc.)). The overall dynamics of the department’s intervention work remained approximately at the same level compared to last year. There were 1276 radiofrequency ablations and 618 implantations of antiarrhythmic devices. The number of complications was 18 cases (0.8% of the total number of operations). There was no mortality.
Based on the materials of the ongoing scientific and practical work, 15 articles were published in 2023. In 2023, clinical trials were approved: “Isolation of the pulmonary vein ostia with cryoballoons of the fourth generation for the treatment of patients with various forms of atrial fibrillation (I48) to evaluate its effectiveness compared to isolation of the pulmonary veins with cryoballoons of previous generations using a domestic ECG home monitoring system”; “Method of catheter ablation based on omnipolar mapping in patients with incisional arrhythmias (I48) after correction of congenital heart defects using a catheter with the ability to optically measure the force of contact with the myocardium, compared with classical catheter ablation”; “Automatic localization of arrhythmogenic zones for the treatment of patients with persistent atrial fibrillation compared to standard electroanatomical mapping (I48.1)”.
