Abstract
The analysis and the value of geometrical and hemodynamic parameters of heart cavities was
performed. It allowed to determine the definite principles of their changes depending on the type
of implanted prosthesis. 267 patients aged 52.4±12.2 with congenital pathology of mitral valve
were included. All patients were divided into two groups depending on the type of implanted
prosthesis: the first group (102 patients) with bicuspid prostheses (MedInzh, ATS, Carbomedics,
On-X) and the second group (165 patients) with disk prostheses (MIKS). The comparative
analysis of structural-geometrical parameters of heart cavities and their volumes was performed
before the operation and in different terms after operative treatment during 3 years. Statistically
reliable correlation was identified (p<0.05) for intensity in positive remodeling of heart cavities,
depending on the constructive type of mechanic prosthesis in mitral position.
