Abstract
The objective of the present study was to investigate left (LV) and right ventricular (RV) diastolic
function state in 50 patients (56 + 2,3 years) with IHD and assign ACE inhibitor reaction
in the acute test. Left ventricular diastolic dysfunction was noted in every IHD patient in
whom myocardial revascularization was scheduled. 54% patients had LV DF impairment of the
I type, 30% - pseudonormal type and 16% - restrictive type. Some patients had normal right
ventricular diastolic function (16%). 44% patients had impairment of myocardial relaxation and
40% had impairment of compliance and stiffness in right ventricular myocardium. Left and right
ventricular diastolic function was improved in response to acute test with ACE inhibitor. Such
test can be a prognostic marker for diastolic function alteration after direct myocardial revascularization,
and for hemodynamic improvement.
