Abstract
Abilities of tissue Doppler (TD) were evaluated in terms of myocardial dysfunction for different
vascular pathologies (arterial hypertension, ischemic heart disease, diabetes mellitus) in common young and elderly population. TD demonstrated to be a diagnostic tool for LV systolic and
diastolic evaluation in early stages of cardiovascular diseases when conventional echocardiography
shows normal rates. Major factors for myocardial dysfunction in hypertonic, diabetic and
IHD-patients were revealed using tissue Doppler.
