Abstract
The significance of diagnostic problem and treatment for abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) is
based on high specific weight of this pathology within morbidity and mortality of population
with tendency towards the increase of these rates as well as with high mortality rates in terms of
complication development. The main risk factors for AAA development are the following: age
of 65 and older, male gender, smoking (including past history), for women - presence of
aneurysm in first-degree relatives. However mortality rate in Russian Federation achieves 7.5%
even after elective off-pump surgeries. High mortality rate in severe somatic patients, traumacy
and rate of complication development after off-pump surgery contribute to the search of new
methods for AAA treatment.
Advantages of endoprosthetic replacement of infrarenal aorta aneurysms are the following:
minor traumatization, insignificant hemorrhage, absence of enteroplegia, pain syndrome and
systemic complications. The most common complications of endovascular treatment for
infrarenal aorta aneurysms are blood leakages, dislocation, stent-graft thrombosis and aneurysm
rupture.
