Abstract
The clinical case has been presented as for the successful treatment of complicated long lasting primary lymphedema of the lower limbs, with complication
i.e. recurrent erysipelas. Tactics of conservative treatment involved the use of program of complex therapy of lymphatic edema that was elaborated
in A. N. Bakoulev Scientific Center for Cardiovascular Surgery of Russian Academy of Medical Sciences. The main point of the program is training
a patient in using the basic treatment principles as a prophylactic supporting therapy during the patient's life. The application of systems of intermittent
pneumatic compression as continuous individual home treatment made it possible for a patient to indefinitely prolong the efficacy of edema preventive
therapy, perform it independently on medical organizations as well as avoid advancing lymphedema and disability
