Abstract
Endovascular methods of diagnosis and treatment that originated in the middle of the last century currently
occupy the leading place in the treatment of patients with congenital and acquired heart diseases, coronary
and vascular pathology. The article provides information about clinical and scientific work of the three
departments of the A.N. Bakoulev Center for Cardiovascular Surgery, providing similar type of assistance.
In recent years, thanks to their work the number of the examined and treated patients increased more than
2 times. The active position of cardiovascular surgeons and endovascular specialists of diagnostic and treatment
methods contributed to the development of a new field of hybrid surgery. The research reflected in the
published article, chapters of books, books, including tutorials and dissertation work of doctors and candidates
of medical sciences.
