Abstract
The article presents basic tasks of the cardiac and vascular service in a A.N. Bakoulev Scientific Center for
Cardiovascular Surgery, and are linked primarily to the increase in the number of operations while maintaining
the quality of the results and with the introduction of new invasive technologies. The authors present
data on the Institute for Coronary and Cardiovascular Surgery in A.N. Bakoulev Scientific Center for
Cardiovascular Surgery of 2015 compared with the previous period. It was emphasized that the observed
intensification of the work of the Institute in practical terms, in accordance with the main objectives, and the
development of scientific fields of cardiology and vascular with therapeutic and diagnostic aspects in accordance
with the guidelines of surgical operations. The emphasis is on optimizing the diagnosis and treatment
costs, as well as improving interaction between outpatient and clinical services. An important aspect of the
work is the development and introduction into the daily practice of diagnostic algorithms and treatment, particularly
in patients with combined increase in cardiovascular and comorbidity. Marked increase in operations
with cardiopulmonary bypass in the pathology of a cardiovascular system with a reduction in mortality
and other complications, including through the activity of cardiac and vascular services.
