Abstract
The report presents the results of the Department of surgical treatment of joint coronary and peripheral
arteries disease for 2015. It is shown that in 2015, in the department there was a steady increase in the number
of hospitalized patients, as compared to the previous year. Patients often have a different comorbid diseases
(cancers, systemic diseases, blood diseases and other), and old age. During 2015, 266 CABG with cardiopulmonary
bypass was performed, and 70 – on a beating heart. Overall hospital mortality was 1.2%. In
2015, the department conducted research about the surgical treatment of ischemic heart disease in combination
with atherosclerotic lesions of the carotid arteries, surgical treatment of patients with angina return
after CABG, patients with diabetes mellitus and other problems. It should be noted that research work in the
department in 2015 carried out in accordance with the plan, and surgical operations were characterized by a
variety of operations performed in patients with coronary artery disease and the introduction of new methods
of diagnosis and surgical treatment in clinical practice.
