Abstract
The article presents the main achievements of the work of the emergency Department for surgery of acquired
heart disease in a practical and scientific plan for 2016. Reflected by years dynamics of number of patients
treated, operations with artificial blood circulation and mortality, but also reflects the dynamics of the quantity
of scientific production produced by the Department for the last three years. In conclusion, the article
outlines promising research directions, which are to be developed in the future.
