Abstract
Analisis of the research results, as well as the few data available in the literature on the treatment of patients with postinfarction interventricular septum rupture (PIIVSR), suggest that surgical treatment of occute myocardial infarction complications is the most effective, but so far there is no consensus on the appropriateness of a ventriculotome. Moreover, the success of treatment of PIIVSR depends not only on the correct tactics and the amount of surgical intervention, but also on the specifics of eliminating, along with postinfarction rupture, disturbances in other structures of the heart. This report describes case of successful surgical treatment of a 65 year old patient with PIIVSP and simulataneous correction of other heart structures.
