Abstract
The atrioventricular tunnel is a congenital extracardial canal that connects the ascending aorta above the sinotubular junction to the cavity of the left or right ventricle. Prenatal diagnosis – fetal echocardiography – reveals this defect after 18 weeks of pregnancy in 0.46% of cases of all heart defects detected prenatally. The main section, allowing to visualize the tunnel itself, is the projection of the long axis of the left ventricle. The article describes the clinical cases of successful diagnosis of aorto-left ventricular tunnel in the fetus by twodimensional echocardiography. Presents the basic echocardiographic projection is informative to visualize the tunnel and the main ultrasound signs of defect. In addition, the data on the frequency of occurrence of the defect, anatomical features, etiology and research methods for this defect.
