Abstract
The review reflects the most important and significant events in the life of the A.N. Bakoulev National Medical Research Center for Cardiovascular Surgery, presents the results of scientific research carried out on 63 complex topics within 13 targeted research programmes in 2019. The efficiency of introducing new methods of diagnostics and treatment into clinical practice is analyzed. The activities of structural subdivisions of the Center for the development of high-tech methods of diagnostics and treatment, the creation of new biological prostheses and other materials for cardiovascular surgery are assessed. The immediate and follow up results of surgical and endovascular interventions for various cardiovascular diseases in adults and children including newborns are evaluated.
