Abstract
Congenital left ventricular (LV) diverticulums and aneurysms are rare abnormalities in the development of the heart. The most common localizations of left ventricular aneurysms are the apex of the left ventricle and the tear region of the mitral ring. Isolated subvalvular LV aneurysms, often referred to in foreign literature as mitral valve fibrous ring aneurysms, are a relatively little known pathology. The main type of isolated aneurysms complications is considered to be various heart rhythm disturbances. In the presented clinical cases, eighty percent of patients had this complication, which led them to the clinic of cardiovascular surgery. There are various types of aneurysm classifications based on the localization and involvement of the mitral valve fibrous ring regions. The cases of subvalvular aneurysms of the left ventricle described by us are divided according to the type in accordance with the degree of the aneurysmal necks involvement of the posterior part of the mitral ring.
