Abstract
Coronary heart disease and type 2 diabetes mellitus greatly increase the risk of fatal and non-fatal complications
from both cardiovascular disease and diabetes. Acute coronary syndrome on the background of diabetes
mellitus is characterized by a more severe clinical course and the frequent development of adverse outcome.
Treatment control is based on objective results of functional examination of patients. But not the last role is
played by the subjective self-assessment of the patient's condition. For this purpose, the quality of life is
assessed using various questionnaires.
An analysis of the literature has shown that today in the area of assessing the quality of life in patients with
acute coronary syndrome and diabetes mellitus, there is no generally accepted “gold standard”, a single
questionnaire that allows a comprehensive assessment of all aspects of the patient's quality of life. Evaluation
of the results of a survey of such patients confirms the decline in the quality of life in the physical, psychological
and social spheres.
