Abstract
As the population ages, an increasing number of elderly patients with previous coronary artery bypass grafting
will require subsequent aortic valve replacement due to aortic stenosis. A previous coronary artery bypass
grafting procedure may complicate subsequent aortic valve replacement. In this report the authors described
the five-year results of follow-up and quality of life analysis in 77 years aged patient with aortic valve replacement
in conditions of extracorporeal circulation after aortic coronary artery bypass surgery. Surgical correction
of critical aortic stenosis with cardiopulmonary bypass in elderly patients can be successfully applied
after prior coronary revascularization procedure. The clinical case and 5-year follow-up demonstrated successful
results of the surgical treatment.
