Abstract
The Clinical-Diagnostic Department (CDD) today is the largest division of the Bakoulev National Medical Research Center for Cardiovascular Surgery in the field of diagnosis, treatment, prevention and fundamental and applied research on the problem of coronary heart disease. Since the establishment of the department (1994) and to the present, its permanent head is Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Yu. Buziashvili.
Currently, the "streaming" contingent of patients is represented by the most severe and complex patients with coronary artery disease (combined cardiac and/or extracardiac pathology) for whom there are no generally accepted constructive medical solutions yet. Using all the resources of the available scientific and practical experience, CDD employees successfully solve the tasks both on the spot and remotely (face-to-face consultations of patients, including field visits; medical consultations using all available means of communication; training of specialists at the workplace; systematic conduct of advanced training courses, thematic medical schools, etc.). The most important links of the department's activities are the education and professional training of thinking young doctors of a new formation.
The purpose of the publication: to present the results of medical and scientific activities of the Clinical-Diagnostic Department of Bakoulev National Medical Research Center for Cardiovascular Surgery for 2021.
