Abstract
The activity of the Institute for coronary and vascular surgery of Bakoulev National Medical Research Center for
Cardiovascular Surgery Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation (MH RF) was based on the state tasks fulfillment
in high-technological medical care and in compulsory health insurance programs. The article is devoted to the
results of the activity of the Institute in 2018 in comparison to 2016 and 2017. The state tasks were accomplished in
100%. More than 3000 surgeries were provided first for the whole history of the Institute. Qualified activity of the
reanimation department was kept. Hospital lethality was diminished to 1% and lethality after artificial circulation
surgery decreased to 3.5%. The activity aimed on the increase of hospital beds' usage effectiveness was continued.
Length of stay was decreased to 8.1 day as a result. 3615 patients were hospitalized accordingly to compulsory health
insurance programs. The tendency to the decline of the load on paraclinical departments was kept due to the increase
of insistence to justification of medical investigations. The second part of the professional standard of cardiovascular
surgeon and modified proposals of amendments to the order of MH RF 15.11.2012 № 918n which regulate activity
of vascular departments, were sent to the MH RF.
