Abstract
Over the past few years, coronavirus infection (COVID-19) has been a global problem, the role of which in the disability and mortality of the population has become paramount. A number of researchers note the unprecedented impact of COVID-19 not only on public health, but also on the social and economic components of the normal life of people. The presence of coronary heart disease in patients with COVID-19 is one of the factors that aggravates the clinical course of the disease and contributes to the development of life-threatening complications. Myocardial damage due to a cytokine storm contributes to its structural restructuring, the consequences of which can be recorded in the long-term period after a COVID-19 infection. The increase in complaints and their persistence in the post-COVID period requires an appeal to a cardiologist and a comprehensive additional examination.
