Abstract
The anomalous origin of left coronary artery from pulmonary artery (AOLCAPA) is a congenital anomaly resulting in the left ventricular myocardial ischemia. The aim of study was to investigate an extension of myocardial hypoperfusion and metabolic disorders in patients of different age. 99mTc-Technetril Myocardial Scintigraphy and 18F-FDG Positron Emission Tomography (PET) were performed for every patient. Basic types of the left ventricular ischemic disorders, extension of scar and myocardial hibernation were discovered according to results of the study. Severe infarction disorders including of left ventricular aneurysm were detected more often in infant patients. On the other hand the hibernating myocardium was revealed in the majority of these patients. It was confirmed that complex perfusion-metabolic analysis allowed to detect the reversibility of ischemic myocardial disorders and could be useful for postsurgical prognosis in AOLCAPA patients.
