Abstract
Introduction. The objective of this research was to systemize the approach of studies in sanitarybacteriological
complex and the interpretation of their results in cardiosurgical clinic.
Material and methods. The retrospective analysis of sanitary-bacteriological study results was
performed inside the only hospital for a period of 10 years (from 2002 to 2011).
Results. 102 610 sanitary-bacteriological studies were performed: 34 894 with the aim of contamination
control, 65 076 washings to evaluate bacterization by sanitary indicator microorganisms
and 2640 researches of air. There is a tendency to research rise to proportionally current
needs under the conditions of volume growth of medical care, managed in V. I. Burakovsky
Institute of Cardiosurgery, A. N. Bakulev Scientific Centre of Cardiovascular Surgery, Russian
Academy of Medical Sciences. Total number of poor results in different years hesitated from 0.23
to 0.93%, in this case only single positive results of the study on sterility of various instruments
and materials were indicated. It is expected, with the most frequency, the rise of sanitary indi
cated microflora, detected at washing in resuscitation and intensive care unit (0.5-2.2%), in this
case in the structure of poor deliveries the significant part was hand wipe in medical staff (in
average 36%). The spectrum of microorganisms annually eliminated during sanitary researches
characterized by sufficient species diversity that was qualified as positive sign, reflected the
absence of dominant hospital stock.
Conclusions. Planned sanitary bacteriological monitoring in cardiosurgical hospital is the necessary
condition for risk minimization of nosocomial contamination and clinical care improvement.
The specific attention should be devoted to control of different objects and materials contacted
with sterile loci of organism and also the quality of hand disinfection.
