Abstract
To conduct a comparative analysis of the outcomes of different types of surgical correction for congenital heart defect with univentricular hemodynamics.
Conclusions. The predictors of mortality and complications which required reoperations were low weight of a child, an increase in a mean pulmonary arterial
pressure, a decrease in arterial oxygen saturation after bidirectional cavopulmonary anastomosis. There wasn't any significant influence of an additional source of pulmonary blood flow on the outcome of bidirectional cavopulmonary anastomosis observed, however there was evidence that an additional source of pulmonary blood flow had a positive effect on the pulmonary artery growth.
