Abstract
639 patients were treated in the Department of surgical treatment of coronary artery disease and minimally
invasive coronary surgery A.N. Bakoulev Scientific Center for Cardiovascular Surgery during 2015. Growth
relative to 2013 was 54%. It was performed 379 interventions for coronary heart disease, of which 309
(81.5%) – off-pump CABG, 30 (7.9%) operations on-pump (mainly about post-infarction left ventricular
aneurysm in combination with CABG) and 40 (10.6%) – coronary stenting. Hospital mortality was 0.2%,
surgical mortality rate – 0.5%, mortality in off-pump – 0.3%, mortality in on-pump – 0%.Based on 10 years of experience, we have come to the conclusion that myocardial revascularization on a
beating heart through a median sternotomy is a safe and effective surgical treatment of coronary artery disease
in the hands of the trained surgeon working in a specialized hospital. In the hospital and late results of
the method is able to compete with standard CABG on-pump. The benefits are particularly important in
patients with a high surgical risk. Another important part of our research – is the use of minimally invasive
procedures in patients with postinfarction left ventricular aneurysms. When the left ventricle reconstruction
operations on the beating heart, we managed to reduce the number of hospital complications, including
mortality rate, which was 0.9%.
Department has been actively involved in advisory work by region and educational and methodical work.
Publication activity remains stable for several years.
Key words: ischemic heart disease; coronary artery bypass; off-pump coronary artery bypass; post-infarction
