Abstract
We present a case of surgical treatment of long-term persistent atrial fibrillation (AF) in conjunction with the
correction of insufficiency mitral and tricuspid valves in a patient of 53 years. Patients with combined pathology
have mortality is 1.5-2 times higher than those with only having AF. This group includes patients with
defects of the mitral valve, in which AF meets from 30 to 84% of cases. The priority in the treatment of mitral
valve insufficiency is valve-saving operation of surgical treatment with atrial fibrillation. Expanded biatrial
access provides the most comprehensive overview of the valve structures of the left atrium, it is necessary to
perform valve repair and positioning cryo for ablation of arrhythmias. Suture annuloplasty prevents the
development redilatation of mitral annuli, and in conjunction with the correction of atrial fibrillation is the
most physiological method of treatment.
