Abstract
Transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) was created for treating high-group risk patients for cardiac
bypass surgery. The method is successfully used in patients of this group, and according to the results of major
research significantly increases life expectancy. However, patients of this group often have complications
after TAVI due to irreversible changes in myocardium and gross deformation in native valve. Periprosthetic
regurgitation is the most common complication, the degree of which affects life expectancy. The approach
for correction such condition is unclear. In this review, we present the approach of one-stage correction
of periprostetic regurgitation and aneurysmal expansion of the ascending aorta after TAVI.
